Featured Locums

At PL-UK we understand that not all locums are the same!

Featured Locums are locums we consider to be “the cream of the crop.” They consistently delight the clients they work for and interact with PL-UK efficiently and effectively. In short; these dedicated professionals provide the kind of outstanding service we feel should be recognised as leading edge amongst locum pharmacists!

How do you become one of our featured locum pharmacists?

Here’s the criteria you will need to meet:

  • You need to have been registered with the RPSGB for two years.
  • You must have completed 20 bookings through PL-UK.
  • We must hold on file copies of: Your RPSGB Certificate, MUR accreditation and Indemnity Insurance Certificate.
  • You must have at least one positive testimonial from a client you have worked for.
  • No negative feedback from clients you have worked for in the last six months.
  • We must hold two professional references on file.
  • We need a photo we can display on our website.
  • Many pharmacy contractors see locums as simply numbers – they book one to fill a gap but don’t seem too concerned about who that locum is.

Featured Locums by PL-UK is our attempt to differentiate our top locums from the rest.

Understandably, we believe that Featured Locums will attract higher rates from clients and be the first to be booked when vacancies arise.

NPA versus PDA

NPA versus PDA

There’s an  interesting piece in the PJ this week about the differing views of the NPA and PDA over the  responsible pharmacists consultations and specifically the need to record a reason for the RP’s absence. Unsurprisingly the contractor dominated NPA want the RP to be able to leave the premises without ever having to record a reason while the PDA want a reason recording every time!

The NPA is an organisation which is primarily there to support pharmacy contractors businesses. The PDA is the voice of the profession not business and should be the one that prevails in this debate
