Like most of you, I’ve been keeping up to date with the Michael Jackson story over the weekend. In the 80’s he really was head and shoulders above everyone else and that’s what made his subsequent life so sad.

However, from a pharmacy point of view, early reports would seem to to indicate that his death was caused by a similar cocktail of drugs that led to the deaths of Heath Ledger and Anna Nicole Smith.

It amazes me that these stars end up on such a concoction of painkillers and anxiolytics after all, who looks after these people?  Multiple Doctors and a posse of sycophants is probably the reason

A good MUR would sort them out…. any takers?

Registration is fast approaching for all the hard working pre-reg pharmacy students. As in previous years, we are asking our existing locum pharmacists to recommend pre-reg students they have worked with who they think will make good locums in the future. The criterae we look for are:

  • Clinically competent
  • Good interpersonal skills with staff and patients
  • Confident
  • Trustworthy
For all genuine pre-reg students we will pay £10 cold hard cash. All we need is the students name and mobile number and we would ask that you make sure it’s OK with the pre-reg pharmacists for you to pass on their details.
As you know, we are not a high pressure agency, we look after our locums and rely on our levels of service to ensure that locums come to us first and not one of the other agencies.
