As we did in Spring and summer 2009, PL-UK are conducting a locum pay rate survey to get a feel for the average pay rate locum pharmacists are securing, this time during the “quiet” part of the year.
To take part, simply visit the PL-UK homepage www.pluk.co.uk and click on your avarage pay rate. You will instantly find out how your average rate compare to other locum pharmacists.

PL-UK are looking to develop the service we provide to both locum pharmacists and locum coordinators by identifying key locums in each geographical area. A key locum will have a history of providing a first class locum service, be MUR accredited and be able to provide PL-UK with excellent references from pharmacies they have worked at in the last three months.
Once identified as one of PL-UK’s key locums our intention is for that locum to be first in-line for locum work in their geographical area. We will work really hard to make sure that the locum has a full diary on the days they wish to work and we will endevour to provide them with a level of service they can’t receive from any other pharmacy locum agency.
If you are interested in becoming one of PL-UK’s key locums, give Shaun a call on 0333 123 3344

January 22nd is the deadline for voting in the national board elections.
This is, without doubt, the most important election in the 150 plus years since the Society was established. I know that pharmacists can be apathetic about these things because the Society has been seen to be ineffectual for individual pharmacist and too biased towards pharmacy owners, particularly the multiples. I would agree.
However we have an opportunity to make a difference, so please vote. Click on the link below
