All the members of our locum support team have hands-on pharmacy experience and worked for PL-UK for at least 18 months. This means that our consultants are amongst the most knowledgeable in the industry.
Our offices are open from 8am to 5pm Monday – Friday and from 9am-10.30 on Saturdays. Therefore, we are here to support last minute sickness calls throughout the working week and also help you at the weekends. We are ALSO here to help you outside these times; (See our contact page!)
PL-UK Recruitment has a client list, which reads like a ‘Who’s Who’ of the profession. We are a preferred supplier to Alliance Boots and also work with most of the major pharmacy operators including; Lloyds, Rowlands, Norchem, Pharmacy 2U, Whitworth’s, Day Lewis. Morrison’s and Superdrug in the community sector.
In the public sector, we supply both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to HM Prison Service, Army Primary Healthcare Service and NHS Trusts. So you can trust PL-UK to support your locum recruitment needs with total confidence.

We are proud of the locums who work with PL-UK. Many have worked with us since we launched in 2003 and we ensure that new locums match our high expectations, by carrying out a thorough pre-placement vetting procedure. We check:

- Indemnity Insurance (where required)
- Professional accreditations
- References
We also seek regular feedback from clients, to ensure that our locums provide the high standard of service you expect.
We have invested heavily in systems, which ensure that all contact between clients, locums and ourselves is captured. This means that if you have any queries with the bookings you have made with PL-UK, we can check them immediately. To maintain an audit trail, all bookings are confirmed in writing; via Email, Fax or SMS, (whichever you prefer,) within 24 hours of the booking being made. This peace-of-mind approach is designed to make your job easier and our clients value it massively.
