Last locum day before Christmas?

Last locum day before Christmas?

Baring any emergencies or extreme weather events (Look at met office for the end of the week!) today should be my last day working as a locum pharmacist this side of Christmas but does this mean an easy ride to the holiday season? Oh no!

At PL-UK we are working on two exciting improvements to the service we provide both clients and pharmacists/pharmacy staff. One of these improves the service we provide to locum pharmacists and the other will redically change the service we provide to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians looking for new permanent pharmacy jobs.

Watch this space for more information … and I hope the snow stays away!

Newly registered pharmacists

Newly registered pharmacists

New Registrations – the end of the month will see an influx of pharmacists onto the RPSGB register and PL-UK are here to help all the one’s who are looking to locum post-registration. PL-UK know how to look after newly qualifieds as Shaun has been one himself (although a while ago now!) and the last seven years has enabled us to build up expertise in supporting pharmacists who are new to the register. We won’t throw you in the deep end, we’ll make sure you work in branches with good support, who pay on time and who we would be happy to work with ourselves.

To talk to a member of the PL-UK prior to getting your RPSGB registration number please call 0800 8818844 from a land line or 0333 123 3344 from a mobile and ask to speak to Linda or Lynne

Do pharmacists tweet?

Do pharmacists tweet?

I’m not sure if i should admit this in public…. but i like to tweet! I’ve been using Twitter for about six months now and find it a great way to stay in touch with people and also a fantastic way to get the latest news on big events. Great examples of this were the recent uprisings in Iran and the Hudson River plane landing. In both events Twitter was way ahead of traditional media and in fact, became the story.

My question to pharmacists in do you tweet? If you do great, if not, why not? You don’t have to write long prose as you do in emails and there’s no need to populate twitter with lots of daft pictures, as you do in Facebook. It’s therefore ideal for busy professionals to stay in touch. We are even thinking of tweeting out job opportunities, in particular emergency locum jobs.

So if you want to tweet, tweet me at http://www.twitter.com/shaun_at_PLUK

Outside these area’s we still need more locums, so please either email PL-UK on support@pluk.co.uk, send us a Tweet at http://www.twitter.com/shaun_at_PLUK or call us on 0800 0620548 – our dedicated Swine Flu hotline
